SAP ABAP Developer
Job Summary
The Sr. SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for SAP development including design, coding, and unit testing of RICEFW objects, integrations, and custom applications in S/4, Fiori, PI/PO, and EWM. Understand business requirements, challenges and opportunities and lead the design of the SAP ERP solution to meet established business objectives. Research technical solutions, identify options and provide recommendations to the Sr. Manager SAP IT Technical Application that represent the best interests of the organization. Partner effectively with the all-business functions, Functional Capability Leads and with third-party partners; facilitate alignment between these parties to optimally achieve desired results. Ensure delivery of quality deliverables that meet with internal coding guidelines and business expectations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather integration requirements and design scalable, efficient integration solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for SAP integration best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP integration technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to deliver innovative solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy SAP RICEFW objects.
- Respond quickly and efficiently when debugging, identifying root cause, and resolving production defects.
- Transform functional requirements into technical specifications, build, unit test, and deploy programs.
- Work with functional leads to re-engineer business processes and map processes to S/4 and FIORI functionality.
- Manage production incidents through proactive analysis and problem resolution to improve processes and systems.
- Ensuring deliverables meet quality assurance expectations.
- Keeping team members, clients and managers up-to-date on status and issues.
- Provide thought leadership in support of the design, build and deployment of SAP functionality.
- Interface with IT development staff and third-party software providers (SAP and others) as required for technical matters.
- Participate in: the development of test scripts; performance of unit, integration, regression and user acceptance testing; and assistance with performance testing.
- Participate in determining change impacts and assist with change management; develop and conduct user training.
